It is well known that physical exercises are very good for the entire body. They improve the blood circulation, increase the immune system, strengthen your muscles, which give you improved resistance to effort, free you of stress and give you back that positive mood you so much look for.
Yet, movement is also highly beneficial for the brain. By improving blood circulation more oxygen reaches your brain, which results in a better functioning of the brain. Also, because stress is diminished, the power of focus is increased and the individual is able to think more efficiently and maintain their focus for a longer period of time. A positive mood and lack of stress also contribute to the significant decrease of any mental illness. Thus, by making physical movement, not only do you increase its capacity of learning and memorizing new things, but you also protect it from unwanted diseases, such as dementia, which can affect the human brain.
One of the most beneficial types of movement is running. It is easy and can be done by any normal human being, even if they have never done any type of movement before. Thus, if you want to have a good working brain, that easily accumulates information and which can rapidly find a good solution to each and every problem, you should start running each and every day. If you have never done this before, you can start by taking long walks, then gradually speed up, until you are ready to run for a longer period of time.
It is essential to pass from one state to another (walking, jogging and running) gradually and give your body time to get used with the rhythm imposed by you. Only this way will you be able to obtain the results you want. If you force your body into doing things it is not used with, you will fail and will end up frustrated and discouraged, mood which will affect your brain instead of making it work better. So, pass from one stage to another only when you feel you are prepared to. Do not force your body or try to cheat, as this will not make any good to your brain.
